Hello to everyone. My name is Sarria and my user name is MissYaki and friend of MissSukie. I have been a paralegal for about 15 yrs. I attended Hayward State Paralegal Program, I did all the classes but one. Long story, but my employer paid for my tutition and then didn't for the one class I had left and opted to be grandmothered in. I have worked for a sole practioner for 12 years and then went to a firm for 2 1/2 years. Boy, talk about making sure you met all your billable hours. If I did not bill for a solid 8 hour day, I spent at least one hour tracking those minutes. But I hated the communte (2 hrs a day) and came back to the same office and now work for the other sole practioner in the office. So I'm back in my circle. My attorney practices Family Law, Probate, Personal Injury, Unlawful Detainers, misdemeaner criminal cases (usually DUI's) and civil litigation. So there is a wide variety of law in this office which makes it interesting. I am so happy to join this group.
